\ Matthew "Scott" Stinnett, age 16, of Vinton, went to be with the Lord Friday, April 27, 1990, in a local hospital. He was a student at William Byrd High School and a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. Surviving are his parents, Marvin R. and Muriel C. Stinnett; one sister, Deana S. Griffin, Memphis, Tenn.; grandmother, Mary Caudle, Roanoke; great-grandmother, Gertrude Smith, Roanoke; aunts and uncles, Catherine Gardner, Roanoke; William Caudle, Everett, Wash.; Wayne Stinnett and Carolyn Carney, both of Vinton; Charlotte Henry, Pennsylvania; many cousins also survive. Funeral services will be at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church at 12:00 noon on Monday with Pastor Troy B. Webb and Pastor David Dunbar officiating. Interment will be in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
