\ Katie Louise Kirby Cadd, age 61, of Salem, died Saturday. She was the widow of Ernest Muse Cadd. Surviving are two sons, Ricky L. Cadd, Salem; Larry M. Cadd, Charleston, S.C.; three daughters, Linda Geiger and Polly DeHart, both of Roanoke; Carolyn Cormier, Sanford, Maine; two brothers, Johnny Kirby and Junior Kirby, both of Salem; two sisters, Marie Altice and Gertrude Thrush, both of Salem; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home Chapel, Salem, with the Rev. Gene M. Hagenberger, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem, is handling the arrangements.
