\ BEDFORD - Virginia Hutcherson Hylton, 78, of 1203 Roundtree Dr., Bedford, died Saturday, April 28, 1990, at 8:44 p.m. in the Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Alvis Victor Hylton and son, Gary O. Hylton, who were golf pros of Boonesboro Country Club. Born September 27, 1911, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar George Hutcherson and Gertrude Dudley Hutcherson. She was a long time active member of Inglewood Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Rita Garst Lee of Bedford; Joyce M. Hylton, Arlington, Va.; Trudy H. McDaniel, Richmond, Va.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Whitten-Timberlake Chapel, Lynchburg, Va., with interment in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Roanoke, Va., at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Whitten-Timberlake Chapel in Lynchburg. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that the memorials be made to the Boonesboro Volunteer Fire Department, the Bedford Life Saving Crew or the American Cancer Society.
