WAYNESBORO NATIVE CROWNED

Paula Ketterer, a Waynesboro native and University of Virginia graduate, won the Vinton Dogwood Festival Pageant Saturday Ketterer at William Byrd High School.

Ketterer, 24, was selected from a 11 contestants. She performed "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going" from the musical "Dream Girls" for the talent portion of the pageant.

She will compete in the Miss Virginia Pageant in July in Roanoke.

The first runner-up was Stephanie Wise of Salem. Wise, 20, is a sophomore at Virginia Western Community College. The second runner-up was Audra Wilks of Richmond. The talent contest winner was Mitzi Ferguson of Roanoke.
