VINTON CROWNS DOGWOOD QUEEN

Paula Ketterer, a Waynesboro native and University of Virginia graduate, won the Vinton Dogwood Festival Pageant Saturday at William Byrd High School.

Ketterer, 24, performed "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going" from the musical "Dream Girls" for the talent portion of the pageant.

She will compete in the Miss Virginia Pageant in July in Roanoke.

The first runner-up was Stephanie Wise of Salem. Wise, 20, is a sophomore at Virginia Western Community College.

The second runner-up was Audra Wilks,19, of Richmond. The talent contest winner was Mitzi Ferguson, 19, of Roanoke. The swimsuit contest winner was Lucia Eckstein, 22 of Roanoke.
