SCC OKS VA. POWER INTERIM RATE INCREASE

The State Corporation Commission on Monday authorized an interim rate increase of 5.3 percent today by Virginia Power Co., subject to refund with interest pending a final SCC decision.

The average Virginia Power residential customer will pay $6.76 more per month in summer, for a total of $88.64. The average payment in winter will be $6.18 more, or $81.15 a month. - Staff report
