Moore, an Abingdon dentist, led the ballot with 735 votes, followed closely by veteran council member Harry Coomes, who drew 710.
Following even more closely behind Coomes was Lois Hagy Humphreys, the remaining incumbent seeking re-election, who drew 707 votes. The only newcomer seeking one of the three seats was Elizabeth Francine Ivery, whose 518 votes were not enough to win.
