SHENANDOAH 4-MILER SET FOR MAY 12

The course starts at Shenandoah Life Insurance Co., located at 2301 Brambleton Ave. S.W., continues on mainly asphalt streets and ends at the Roanoke County Administration building.

Runners will be divided into groups by age. Awards will be given to the top four male and female finishers and the top four winners in each age group.

Following the race, a reception with music by The Kings will be held on the lawn of Shenandoah Life. Door prizes will include a Caribbean cruise, theater tickets and gift certificates from various restaurants.

Entry fee is $10 before May 9 and $15 after that date. Checks should be made payable to Shenandoah Life 4-Miler and mailed to Shenandoah Life/Musselwhite & Associates 4-Miler, c/o Donna Sulkin, P.O. Box 12847, Roanoke, Va., 24029.

Runners can pick-up their information packets at Shenandoah Life from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m., May 11; 7-8:30 a.m., May 12.

Proceeds will benefit the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
