Mrs. Myrtle V. Ellis, of Roanoke, died Tuesday. She was the widow of James Norman Ellis, and was also preceded in death by a son, Gerald L. Ellis. Mrs. Ellis was formerly a longtime member of Belmont Baptist Church, and later Grandin Court Baptist Church. For many years she was active as a member of the Board of Directors of Baptist Mission Centers, and was also active with the Kings Daughter's. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Norman (Virginia) Solloway of Roanoke. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Robert W. Lanier will officiate. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
