ELVES, JUDGE APPROVE SANTA CLAUS TAKEOVER

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Douglas O. Tice Jr. on Wednesday gave Thalhimer Bros. Inc. approval to buy the rights to the Santa Claus program developed by its bankrupt rival retailer, Miller & Rhoads Inc.

There were no challenges to the $18,000 sale from other retailers and Tice said there were no objections "from Santa or the elves." - Associated Press
