AIRPORT IN TAZEWELL AMONG 3 TO GET FUNDS

The Tazewell County Airport Authority will receive $225,000 in Federal Aviation Administration funds for construction at the county airport in Richlands. It was among three airports in Virginia to share $1.06 million in FAA awards.

The Norfolk Port and International Authority will get $457,500 to install visual approach aids, buy land and other projects. The Accomack County Airport at Melfa will get more than $383,000 to build a taxiway and complete other construction. - Associated Press
