STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL SET AT CRESTAR PLAZA

The 10th annual Strawberry Festival, sponsored by Community School, will be held Friday and Saturday at Crestar Plaza, near the Roanoke City Market.

Strawberry shortcakes and sundaes, fresh-squeezed lemonade and limeade and strawberry slushes will be sold from 10:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. both days. Prices range from $2.50 to $3.50, with proceeds to benefit the school.

Advance tickets may be purchased at Heironimus downtown; Tangles, in the City Market building; the Roanoke Natural Foods Co-op; Imagination Station; Community School; and the Pet Place in Daleville. Tickets also will be available at the festival, which coincides with the Roanoke Chili Cook-Off on the market.
