WOMEN ATTORNEYS HOLD STUDENT POSTER CONTEST

Pupils from seven Roanoke-area elementary schools participated in a poster contest held in observance of Community Law Week. The theme of the contest, which was sponsored by the Virginia Women Attorney's Association, is "Generations of Justice."

Bent Mountain Elementary School received $50 for having the highest percentage - 100 percent - of its pupils participating in the contest. The prize money will be used by the school's library to purchase books about law.

Other schools participating in the contest were South Salem, Garden City, Clearbrook, Green Valley, Roland E. Cook and Hardy Road elementary schools. The posters are on display through Sunday at Valley View Mall.
