Allen is a country-rocker whose themes go beyond mere drinkin' and cheatin' to themes dealing with Vietnam veterans, Southeast Asians, American Indians and the denizens of Texas towns and bars.
He's performing as part of the One Night Stands of the Arts Council of Roanoke Valley and related groups. Tickets are $7 for most, $5 for senior citizens.
