GARTH NEWEL TRIO

The Garth Newel Trio will perform May 11 at the Roanoke Museum of Fine arts.

The performance will follow a 5 p.m. reception for the trio.

On the program are Tobert Schumann's Duetto for Violin, Cello and Piano; the recitative for cello and piano from J.S. Bach's Organ Concert No. 3; and Peter Tchaikovsky's Trio in A Minor, Op. 50, for Violin, cello and piano.

The Garth Newel Trio is in residence at Bath County's Garth Newel Music Center, where it presents a summer-long chamber music series each summer. Its members are Arlene Di Cecco, violin; Luca Di Cecco, cello; and Paul Nitsch, piano.

The museum performances are underwritten by Thomas Rutherfoord Inc. and the music center. Luca Di Cecco is a member of the museum's board of trustees.

The trio will perform at the museum again on June 8.

Tickets are $6 for individual performances or $10 for both.
