NAMES & CHANGES

JAMES QUARFORTH has been elected president and chief executive officer of CFW Communications Co. Quarforth joined CFW in 1980 and was elected executive vice president of operations in 1988. He succeeds\ Robert Yeago, who has been elected chairman of the board. Yeago retired from active service on May 1 after 39 years with the company, which has its headquarters in Staunton. He was elected president in 1978 and CEO in 1982.\ Carl Rosberg has been promoted to senior vice president of operations at CFW.

\ MEL LUDOVICI has joined Martin Travel as president Ludovici and managing partner. He is in charge of operations at both the downtown Roanoke and airport offices of the agency. Ludovici also oversees GalaxSea Cruises, a division of Martin Travel. He came to Martin Travel from Smithey and Boynton where he was director of marketing. Prior to that, Ludovici was president of Air Systems Inc.

\ JANE NASE has been promoted to vice president at Dominion Bankshares Corp. Nase She has been senior product manager for credit services since she joined the bank in 1988. Nase is responsible for marketing and developing all consumer credit products. Julia Jennings and Nancy May have been promoted to assistant vice president. Jennings is manager of securities operations for Dominion Investment Banking Inc. and Dominion Bankshares Corp. She is responsible for all safekeeping and securities settlement. May is a product manager responsible for developing and marketing Dominion's retail deposit services.

\ ROBERT CORBITT has been promoted to vice president of commercical sales at Blue Stone Block Inc. He joined the company in 1978, left briefly in 1986, then returned in 1987 as commercial sales manager. He will be responsible for commercial and institutional sales.

\ David McAtee, president and general manager of WSET-TV in Lynchburg, has been named vice president and general manager of WGAL-TV, an NBC affiliate in Lancaster, Pa., effective June 1.

\ Vic Creech, formerly vice president of operations for John G. Kolbe Inc., has joined Hospitality Procurement Corp. in Glen Allen as vice president and kitchen engineer.
