Carl Thomas Paschal, age 78, of 113 Fifth St., Dublin, Va., died Friday in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Va. Born May 8, 1911, in Rockingham County, N.C., he was the son of the late David Boatenheimer Paschal and Ruth Loftus Paschal. He was a retired employee of the Burlington Industries Transportation Department in Dublin, Va. Surviving are his wife, Pauline Jarrell Paschal; three daughters, Mrs. William (Shirley) Read, Jacksonville, Fla.; Mrs. Wayne (Carline) Kvasnicka, Big Island; Mrs. Manuel (Pattie) Perez, Stafford; two sons, Carl Tafton Paschal, Salisbury, N.C.; Jarrell Loftus Paschal, Richmond; one sister, Mrs. Dewey (Pattie) Tate, Reidsville, N.C.; 14 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. from the Dublin Baptist Church, Dublin, with the Rev. Raymond Farmer officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Dublin. Visiting will be anytime Sunday with the family receiving friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. Mr. Paschal will be taken to the church at 10:00 a.m. Monday to lie in state until the hour of service. Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bob White Boulevard, Pulaski, is handling the arrangements.
