\ Elsie Carter Johnson, age 79, of Route 2, Fincastle, died Saturday, May 5, 1990, in a Salem hospital. She was the widow of Clyde T. Johnson. She was a member of Virginia Heights Baptist Church and surviving are a daughter, RaLynda St. Clair, Route 2, Fincastle; two sons, Robert Stephen Johnson, San Diego, Calif.; Roger Clyde Johnson, Roanoke; one sister, Lois Windell, Elliston; three brothers, Wesley Carter, Francis Carter, and Carl Carter, all of Roanoke; seven grandchildren; one great-grandddaughter. Funeral services will be from Oakey's North Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday with Dr. Carl A. Collins, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Fair View Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel.
