OBIT PAYNE, E.

Mrs. Elizabeth M. (Douglas) Payne of 2521 Sweetbrier Ave., S.W., died Monday, May 7, 1990. She was a lifelong member of the Second Presbyterian Church and a retired employee of the N & W Railway. Surviving are her husband, Walter Payne, Jr.; brother, Robert S. McCluer, Roanoke; sister, Collette M. Irvin, State College, Pa.; also a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at the Second Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. William R. Klein officiating. Interment will be in the Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Second Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
