Kegley, a Wythe County native, is past president and program and tour chairman of the Roanoke Valley Historical Society. He delivered the dedication address of Smithfield Plantation in 1964.
Smithfield has also been awarded the Craftmanship Award for demonstration of fine workmanship in the restoration of a historic building by the New River Valley Preservation League.
A reception and tour of the home will follow the meeting. The public is welcome.
