OBIT PADGETT, E.

Mrs. Eunice M. Padgett, age 91, of Vinton, died in a Roanoke hospital Wednesday, May 9, 1990. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Esten Padgett, Sr.; a daughter, Kathleen Padgett Mills; a son, John E. Padgett, Jr. She was a member of Melrose Baptist Church, the Grand Lodge Ladies Auxiliary, and the United Transportation Union. Surviving are two daughters, Thelma Padgett Miller, Helen Eunice Padgett, both of Vinton; brother, Paul Beagle, Chesapeake; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Friday, by the Rev. Larry Sprouse, the Rev. Aaron Rummage, and Capt. Dean Hinson. Burial will be in Fair View Cemetery.
