OBIT NEILY, S.

Sally Elizabeth Neily, age 82, has died at her home. She was a member of the Blacksburg United Methodist Church and the Harvey Black Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Mrs. Neily graduated from the University of Virginia Nursing School and taught school in Merrimac and Dry Run in Montgomery County. She is survived by one daughter, Sarah N. Vandenberg, Laurinburg, N.C.; one son, Warren S. Neily, Jr., Blacksburg; two sisters, Mrs. J.L. Hammer, Blacksburg; Mrs. U.W. Massie, Roanoke; grandchildren, Warren S. Neily, III, Blacksburg; Jane N. Wood, Asheville, N.C.; Laura Elizabeth Neily, Blacksburg; Charles Gerard Vandenberg, Laurinburg, N.C.; Peter Lawrence Vandenberg, Boone, N.C.; Sarah Margaret Vandenberg, Laurinburg, N.C. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 11, at 11:00 a.m. in the Blacksburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jack Minnick officiating. Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hoy-McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
