LIBERTY BASEBALL COACH SET TO RELINQUISH DUTIES

Former New York Yankees infielder Bobby Richardson has stepped down as baseball coach at Liberty University to concentrate on his duties as athletic director.

"When you really encompass all the sports we have and what needs to be decided and done, I don't have time to be head baseball coach," Richardson said Tuesday.

Richardson became the school's athletic director in December when Al Worthington retired. He will be succeeded as baseball coach by assistant Johnny Hunton.
