Shirley Chittum Garrett, age 51, died Wednesday. She was preceded in death by two sons, Otho Nelson Garrett, David Mitchell Garrett; one grandson, David Garrett. She is survived by her husband, Leslie Garrett; two sons, Anthony Leslie Garrett, Johnny Christopher Garrett, both of Buchanan; three daughters, Polly G. Bowling, Franklin County; Sandra Darlene Entsminger, Natural Bridge; Nina Lee Smith, Buchanan; four brothers, Harold Chittum, Buena Vista; Joseph Floyd, Glasgow; Otho Chittum, Jr., Natural Bridge Station; Roy Muterspaugh, Roanoke; one sister, Opal Chittum, Buena Vista; eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 12, 1990 at 2:00 p.m. in Cedar Bluff Baptist Church with Dr. W.L. Crane officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Buena Vista. The family will receive friends at the Rader Funeral Home, Buchanan.
