\ Lacy Byron Barton, age 86, of Salem, died Wednesday, May 9, 1990. He was retired from R.A.A.P. and he served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Georgie E. Barton; his son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Virginia Barton, Salem; daughters and son-in-law, Mrs. Alvin (Annie) Akers, Salem; Mrs. Joe (Bernice) Gray, Vinton; Mrs. David (Pauline) Wells, Elliston; and Mrs. Sherman (Brenda) Compton, Christiansburg; sisters, Mrs. Ethel Wheeler, Mrs. Kate Bain, Mrs. Lucy Martin, all of Salem; and Mrs. Alta Burgess, Blacksburg; 16 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 12, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lotz Salem Chapel with Rev. J.W. Hatton, Jr., officiating. Interment will be in Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lotz Salem Chapel.
