\ EAGLE ROCK - Hiram Simmons Austin, age 74, died Wednesday. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Delphine Barger Austin; one daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jo and Sammy Barger, Eagle Rock; three sons and daughters-in-law, Hiram S., Jr. and Barbara Austin, Troutville; Truman F. and JoAnn Austin, Covington; Raymond E. and Connie Austin, Clifton Forge; one sister, Violet "Polly" Austin, Roanoke; one brother, Earl I. "Pete" Austin, Fincastle; ten grandchildren. Funeral will be Saturday, May 12, at 11:00 a.m. in the Forest Grove Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 at the Eagle Rock Funeral Home.
