FETE DE LA NUIT

Roanoke's Festival in the Park will kick off this year's event with "An Evening Under the Stars - Fete De La Nuit," an all-star gala May 24 at 7 p.m. The black-tie optional fund-raiser will be held in downtown Roanoke at the No. 1 Fire Station and Century Plaza Park on Church Avenue near the Roanoke City Market.

Entertainment will feature the Woody Herman Orchestra, the Noel C. Taylor Community Choir and more than 30 artists previewing their works. Food and desserts will be served by seven restaurateurs.
