JOHN STEWART AT IROQUOIS

Folk-rock singer and songwriter John Stewart will appear in concert May 19 at the Iroquois in downtown Roanoke. Special guests will be Drew Reid and The Moon.

Stewart is a former member of the Kingston Trio and may be best known to pop audiences for writing "Daydream Believer," which became a hit for the Monkees in the '60s. His latest LP, "Punch the Big Guy," was released in 1988.

The Iroquois is at 324 Salem Avenue. Tickets for the 8 p.m. concert are $6 in advance and $8 at the door. Call 982-8979 for more information.
