BIKE MARATHON PLANNED SATURDAY IN RADFORD

A bicycle marathon is scheduled Saturday in Radford to benefit the St. Judes Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Riders can register now at K mart at Radford Shopping Plaza.

All riders will need to sign up sponsors for the event.

The bike-a-thon begins at 8 a.m. There will be a distance run of 20 miles and a controlled short run.

Prizes, such as a diamond ring, camera and cooler, will be awarded.

Free bike inspections will be given all week for registered riders at New Wheel on Norwood Street in Radford.
