James Reedy Clark, age 84, died Friday, May 11, 1990, in the Stonewall Jackson
Hospital. Mr. Clark was born June 12, 1905, in Rockbridge County, a son of the
late Grover Leitch Clark and Leah Reed Clark. He was a member of the
Lauderdale A.R.P. Church, where he served as Elder Emeritus and was the former
Treasurer for over 35 years. He was a past member of the Effinger Ruritan Club
and retired in 1971 as a Field Representative with the Clover Creamery after
28 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Goodbar Clark.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Reedy C. Thompson, Natural Bridge Station;
Mrs. Louise C. Chaffins, Staunton; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Bowles and Mrs.
Primrose Tucker, both of Richmond; five grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, May
14, 1990, at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Zeb Carson Williams
officiating. Burial will follow in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the
Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
