Virginia attackman Kevin Pehlke, who was named ACC rookie of the year by the league's coaches, was joined by junior midfielder Garth Appelt, goaltender Tom Groeninger and senior midfielder Rob Schmalz. Pehlke, one of four unanimous picks on the all-conference team, is second in the league in scoring with 54 points.
North Carolina, winner of the ACC tournamentn had three players on the all-conference team. Senior defenseman Joe Breschi, the tournament most valuable player, was another unanimous selection.
Maryland defenseman Bill Ralph, a first-team All-American selection in 1989 and another unanimous selection, was named ACC player of the year.
Duke senior attackman Josh Dennis, the ACC's leading scorer with 56 points, was the other unanimous selection.
