MAN SHOT TWICE ON PATTERSON AVE.

A man was shot twice late Saturday in the 500 block of Patton Avenue Northwest Roanoke.

Vincent Lee Hairston was lying on the porch of 518 Patton Ave.as rescue workers attended his wounds.

Police said Hairston was shot in the thigh and forearm with a small-caliber weapon.

He was transported to a hospital by rescue workers. He was conscious and talking when he was taken away in an ambulance.

Police said they have a suspect in the shooting. No arrests had been made by late Saturday.
