\ Edward C. Reed, Jr., age 79, of 4716 Norwood St., S. W., and formerly of Richmond, Va., died Sunday in a local hospital. He was a retired credit manager of American Oil Company and a member of First Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Helen R. Reed of Roanoke. Funeral services will be held at the graveside, Evergreen Burial Park, 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with Dr. John H. LaMotte officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday.
