SEVEN LIFE TERMS GIVEN FOR ASSAULTS ON GIRLS

An Arlington County judge on Monday sentenced Randy Lee Breer to seven consecutive life terms for sexually assaulting two young girls.

Circuit Judge Paul Sheridan handed down the sentence in the case of the 28-year-old Dale City resident, who also has pleaded guilty to sexually attacking women and girls in Alexandria and Loudoun County.

Breer pleaded guilty on March 30 to rape, two counts of abduction with intent to defile and four counts of sodomy. In exchange for the pleas, prosecutors dropped one of the rape charges.

Breer was convicted of attacking a 13-year-old girl in July 1988 and an 11-year-old girl in May 1989.
