HIGH COURT WON'T HEAR DEATH-ROW APPEALS

Two Virginia death row inmates lost appeals Monday before the U.S. Supreme Court, which refused to hear the cases.

The justices let stand rulings that David Pruett and Richard Boggs properly were sentenced to death for their crimes.

Pruett was sentenced to die for the Feb. 13, 1985, slaying of Wilima Harvey in her Virginia Beach home. He also has confessed to the 1975 murder of Debra McInnis.

Boggs was convicted of killing Treeby Shaw at her home in Portsmouth on Jan. 25, 1984. - Associated Press
