OBIT HALE, R. ROCKY MOUNT

Mrs. Ruth Johnson Hale, age 85, of Rt. 1, died Tuesday, May 15, 1990, in a Roanoke hospital. Surviving are her husband, J. C. Hale; six sons and three daughters-in-law, Jack Hale and Johnnie Hale, both of Rocky Mount; George Hale, Roanoke; Roy and Shirley Hale, Wirtz; Ralph and Dorothy Hale, Vinton; Harry and Gloria Hale, Boones Mill; two daughters, Mrs. Mrytle Brubaker, Wirtz; Mrs. Mary Angle, Rocky Mount; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Johnson, Altavista; one sister, Mrs. Elsie Dobbins, Lynchburg. Funeral services will be conducted at the Arrington-Bussey Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Joe Dillon officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home.
