Mill Mountain Zoo will hold its annual Teddy Bear Day May 19 from noon-3 p.m.
Most huggable and most loved are among categories bears will be judged in.
All bears must be registered by 12:45 p.m. Judging times are 1 p.m. for participants age six and under; 1:45 p.m., ages 7-17; and 2:30 p.m., age 18 and over.

Mill Mountain is open daily from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Admission is $2.75 for adults; $1.75 for children, 12 and under.
\ Music festival
The Blue Ridge Music Festival will be held June 17-23 at Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg.
Among the performances scheduled are: The Monticello Trio, June 17; flutist Stephanie Jutt, June 19, 20; drummer Peter Erskine, June 21; jazz bassist Marc Johnson, June 21; and folk singers Robin and Linda Williams, June 23.
With the exception of the performance by Robin and Linda Williams in the amphitheater, concerts will be held in Thoresen Theater.
Tickets for the series are $50, adults; $35, students. Individual concert tickets are $10, adults; $6, students.
