\ William Penn Cox, age 74, of Roanoke died Tuesday in a Salem hospital. He was a member of Belmont Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn J. Cox; two sons, Walter L. Cox, Vinton; Luther T. Cox, Roanoke; five grandchildren; and one sister, Miss Frances L. Cox. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel on Thursday at 12:00 noon with Dr. Thomas S. Cribb officiating. Interment will follow at Fair View Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
