VA. ATTORNEY GENERAL MAKING TWO-DAY VISIT

Attorney General Mary Sue Terry plans a whirlwind tour of the New River Valley, with stops in Giles, Montgomery and Pulaski counties today and Thursday.

Among the highlights:

At 12:30 today, Terry will give a speech about drugs at Giles High School. Students from Narrows High and the county's vocational center also will attend. Later she will visit the courthouse and meet with constitutional officers, and then will speak at the Giles County Chamber of Commerce's spring banquet. That event begins at 6 p.m.

Terry will start Thursday with a private breakfast with business leaders at Mountain Lake Resort. She later will attend an open house at Litton Poly-Scientific in Blacksburg, meet with Montgomery County constitutional officers at 11 a.m., and have lunch with county Democrats at noon at Stone's Cafeteria.

Thursday afternoon she will visit the New River Valley Workshop, then go to Pulaski County for a 3:45 meeting with constitutional officers and a 5 p.m. reception with Pulaski Democrats at Carole Pratt's home on U.S. 11.
