WYTHEVILLE STUDENT DIES OF CAR INJURIES

A 21-year old Wytheville Community College student, injured in a single-car accident on his way to graduate Tuesday, died from his injuries Wednesday afternoon at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Duncan Marshall Copeland, who had been scheduled to receive a certificate in the science curriculum, was a passenger in a car driven by James Edward "Jack" Hudson.

The car overturned on Peppers Road about three miles north of here at about 5:30 p.m., Trooper D.R. Brooks said.

Hudson was treated and released at Wythe County Community Hospital.
