WOMAN IS APPOINTED TO EDUCATION PANEL

Phyllis C. Ashworth, college services director at Wytheville Community College, has been named to the executive committee of a program to help boost female educators.

The American Council on Education's Virginia Identification Program is a network of women and men interested in identifying and advancing talented women in higher education administration, and women aspiring to be administrators in that field. The committee is made up of representatives from two- and four-year public and private institutions.

Ashworth previously has been the community college's institutional representative for the program.
