FLIGHT ATTENDANTS REPORT SICKNESS

About 100 flight attendants for Alaska Airlines have reported suffering nausea, headaches and other health problems during several dozen flights in the last eight months, the attendants' union said.

The Association of Flight Attendants said some passengers also have complained of developing headaches or feeling strange.

Some attendants said they think the problems are caused by bad air in the jets.

Airline President Bruce Kennedy suggested the fears were unfounded. He said Wednesday the company had received no formal complaints from passengers and had logged fewer than 50 from attendants.
