Garland Bruce (George) Gerberich, 67, passed away Thursday, May 17, 1990. He was a member of Christiansburg Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Mildred Hoback Gerberich; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Suzanne and Dan Hamrick; Ellen and Carlos Altizer, and Debbie Gerberich, all of Christianburg; four grandchildren, Jocelyn and Clay Altizer; Ryan and Whitt Hamrick. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the Christiansburg Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Vernon Miller and the Rev. Jerry Whitt officiating. A private graveside service will be held later. In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to the charity of your choice. The family will receive friends at the home at 1255 South Franklin St. following the service Saturday and on Sunday afternoon. Seaver-Sanders Funeral Home in Radford is in charge of the arrangements.
