OBIT GILBERT, L.

Mrs. Lucy Mays Gilbert, age 98, of Roanoke, and formerly of Patrick County, died Friday in Roanoke. She was the widow of Samuel Leroy Gilbert. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. James H. (Jennie) McManama of Roanoke; a granddaughter, Mrs. F. David (Elizabeth) Elliott; a great-granddaughter, Lindsay Elizabeth Elliott, both of Roanoke; and one sister, Mrs. J. Byron Stanley of Kernersville, N. C. A graveside service will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:00 at the Wayside Cemetery near Stuart. The Gilbert family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 2:45. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor of choice.
