OBIT DICKERSON, G.

Mrs. Gertie C. (Granny) Dickerson, age 97, of Route 2, Vinton, died Friday in a local hospital. She was the widow of Samuel H. Dickerson and was preceded in death by a son, Samuel W. Dickerson. Surviving are two daughters, Ruth R. Dickerson, Vinton, Gracie D. Witt, Roanoke; a daughter-in-law, Claudine Dickerson, Roanoke; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 1990, with the Rev. Don Dyer officiating. Burial will be in Mayflower Hills Baptist Church Cemetery, Roanoke County. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
