OBIT HIGGINBOTHAM, P.

Pansey Jones Higginbotham, age 85, died Sunday, May 20, 1990, in Giles Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Higginbotham was born in Ballard, W.Va. on October 27, 1904, and was a daughter of the late Pleasant and Nannie Brooks Jones. She was the widow of William Ray Higginbotham. She is survived by one son, Dean Higginbotham, Peterstown, W.Va.; one daughter, Mrs. Harry D. (Clarice) Atkins, Maybrook; three sisters, Mrs. Odessa J. Walters, Pearisburg; Mrs. Wilmath Spangler, Newport News; Mrs. Beulah Perry, Columbus, Ohio; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Pearisburg Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Putt and the Rev. Hobart Quesenberry officiating with burial in Birchlawn Burial Park. Friends may call at the Givens Funeral Home after 3:00 p.m. Monday where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
