MISS. MAN INDICTED IN 2 STAFFORD SLAYINGS

A grand jury has indicted Leroy Bullock on charges of capital murder in the Dec. 19 slaying of two elderly women during a robbery at their Stafford County home.

Bullock, who was indicted Monday, is charged with shooting Vernonica Pettit and Velma Rexrode, both 72. Pettit's husband, Harvey, 81, was seriously wounded in the attack.

According to court testimony, Bullock, 46, of Walls, Miss., talked his way into the Pettit home by claiming he had car trouble and saying he knew family relatives. - Associated Press
