CAVS INVITED TO SHOOTOUT

The 1990 Great Alaska Shootout will be held Nov. 23-26 and will include two NCAA Tournament teams from last season - UCLA and Virginia.

The Shootout, with Alaska-Anchorage as host, is played at Sullivan Arena.

In addition to UCLA, Virginia and Alaska-Anchorage, other participating teams include California-Irvine, Nevada-Reno, Siena, South Carolina and Texas Tech.

UCLA, 22-11 last season, made it to an NCAA regional semifinal. Virginia, (20-12) made it to the second round. Alaska-Anchorage, which went 22-8, participated in the NCAA Division II tournament.
