Ethel Kingery Holbrook, 71, of Yellow Mountain Rd., S. E., died Wednesday morning in a local hospital. She was the widow of Loton Richard Holbrook and was a member of Garden City Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Richard E. and Barbara Holbrook; daughters and sons-in-law, Diane H. and James E. Davis, Connie A. and Ken Wright, all of Roanoke; ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Hugh Kingery, Sr., Buchanan; John Kingery, sister, Margaret Ovanek, half sister, Lucille Childress, all of Indiana; mother-in-law, Flossie Carter, Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted from Garden City Baptist Church 11:00 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Donald E. McCaskill officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
