BUCS LOSE ANOTHER ONE TO BULLS

Newly acquired Buccaneers pitcher Jim Czajkowski returned to Durham, where he has previously pitched in the Carolina League, allowing a homer and hitting two batters as Salem lost its sixth straight game to the Bulls, 6-2.

Starter Tim McDowell (2-3) fared about the same, allowing four early runs as Brian Champion and Edwin Alicea hit back-to-back solo homers in the second inning. They had four RBI between them.

The next pitch from McDowell after the two homers was at Joseman Robles' head. Both benches emptied, but no punches were thrown.

Robles' two-run homer in bottom of eighth to put game out reach as the Bulls (24-17) won their third in a row.

The Bucs are 15-27.
